just say yes!!

This past weekend at Antioch, our sermon focused on evangelism as part of our Romans series. Daniel Toomer shared how we are activated in evangelism when we truly see the mercies of God (Romans 12:1–2). That message deeply impacted me because just before Sunday I had looked up the meaning of mercy and discovered that it is an unmerited gift. As I reflected on that, the Lord began showing me that His mercy is so much more than compassion. It is the complete picture of everything He has done for us through Christ. When we receive His mercy, it produces fruit in our lives and activates us to walk in His calling

I was recently debriefing this revelation with Skyler and David after studying the Greek meaning of the word "mercy." The Lord showed me how He is using the ribbons and the Boomsauce family to demonstrate that as we remain in fellowship and relationship with Him, He continually gives us more of Himself—and by extension, greater power and authority to advance His Kingdom.

Another highlight came on Sunday when I had the opportunity to connect two incoming freshmen, David and Owen. I was at the Co-op with Henry Spencer and Owen when David walked up, and I was able to introduce them. It was such an encouragement to watch another connection form within the Boomsauce family. We spent time talking about what boldness looks like when sharing our faith and shared testimonies of how this generation and this city are open to relationship and how revival is happening all around us. Henry also shared about the incredible ways God is moving throughout Greek life. It was exciting to encourage these two freshmen before they arrive at the University of Arkansas and to show them that God is already moving so powerfully on this campus. They left even more confident that they will find a community that loves God above everything else.

Later in the week, Michael and I spent time in discipleship before making a Boomsauce birthday cake for Jacob. On our way back from the grocery store, we struck up a conversation with someone who works in a nursing home serving people with cognitive challenges. That conversation naturally opened the door for me to share my testimony of how God called me to Fayetteville and launched Boomsauce Ministries. Together, Michael and I shared stories of the fruit we've seen as God continues to move through Boomsauce. Being able to share the gospel with our neighbor while serving alongside Michael was such a unique and encouraging experience.

One more moment that really stood out happened Sunday evening after I returned home from evangelism. I watched Upperroom, where Michael Miller preached on compassion. During his message, he shared about receiving a picture of gift ribbons being opened. I couldn't help but smile as I listened because Boomsauce gives away ribbons to remind people that joy is available to them and that they can live with confidence knowing they are deeply loved by God. It was another beautiful confirmation of what the Lord has been speaking to us.

Week after week, I continue to see evidence that God is encountering 

people throughout our community, and I believe Boomsauce Ministries is one of the many ways He is reaching them. It has been so encouraging to watch Antioch College Ministry and Boomsauce continue partnering together as people grow in boldness, experience genuine fellowship, and pursue a deeper understanding of God.
